Unity Radio are recruiting for a number of talented individuals who would like to broaden their live radio experience and learn new skills as part of a new broadcast team to take the station forward in 2011. Unity Radio broadcasts daily with live programming between 7.00am and 1.00pm weekdays, varying at weekends, with opportunities for volunteers to undertake daytime, evening and/or weekend work.

Manchester’s leading Youth Radio Platform (Unity Radio 92.8FM) requires a part time driver for it’s Double Decker Bus.

 

The Bus delivers mobile music workshops supported by a team if Unity Radio facilitators, who teach Young People new skills. The role is currently based around 5-10 hours per week, evenings and weekends, although these hours can increase during half terms and summer holidays.

 

The person must be an accurate timekeeper, have awareness of health and safety, be able to work under pressure, alone and as part of a small team, and be a good communicator. Unity Radio are looking for someone who takes pride in there work, and will maintain the bus accordingly.
