About Young Archie

Arjan Singh is a born and bred Mancunian music producer, and goes by the stage name of Young Archie . Having DJ’d through his College and University years, while studying Biomedical Sciences, he soon realised his passion in music was more than just entertaining crowds and playing alongside many of Europe’s best DJ’s including Punjabi MC, Rampage and Tim Westwood. His transition from DJ to producer was a pleasant one after graduating and something he has never looked back on. Producing for many Asian artists, his style of music stems from one end of the spectrum to the other, from BollyHouse to straight up Bollywood. Now also having his own music label and taking on artist development, Archie is now honoured and proud to host the first Asian show on Unity Radio and hopes this is the start of a long and successful run on Unity Radio and hopes he can introduce a variety of sounds of the east to all those from the west.

About the Producer & co-presenter Tinny

Tinny hasn’t come from a DJing background, her résumé doesn’t even include any experience presenting! But what she does have is a love for music and a passion for entertainment. She took this ambition to begin studying media production at University, and once she had graduated she took steps to achieving her goals and getting her ideas to the entertainment industry. After working with Unity Radio since November 2011; she was then given the opportunity to produce the first ever Asian music radio show on the station, giving her the chance to entertain audiences with the music she loves the most. She has also been involved with casting for a new upcoming Film4 production as well as helping out with exclusive Bollywood events hosted in Manchester.

About Ottilia:

Beat Bazaar is led by Ottilia who is a music manager, promoter, youth music specialist and all round workaholic. She has gained a mighty reputation as a ‘music mama’ who supports and nurtures Manchester musicians, DJs, Producers, vocalists & bands, helping them achieve their goals …..a bit like a musical fairy godmother.

She runs the music department at Gorse Hill Studios, developing exciting music projects and organising youth music showcases for emerging young artists. She also works with a lot of established artists such as Veba, Sylvia Tella, Mr Fox , Ebere, and many more.

Ottilia works with all genres of music from jungle, big beat, dubstep, jazz funk, soul, folk, rock and anything in between.

Beat Bazaar Radio Contributors include DJ Jack Banner from Bloc to Bloc entertainment, Backdraft, DJ Raman & DJ Tarintino. More recently up and coming presenter Shkiesha has joined the Beat Bazaar bunch.

About Tom:

Tom is Manchester born and bred and has been at Unity since the Internet daysand its huge growth now into the FM. He has played in bands since 16 andplayed in most venues around Manchester at some point. He first got seriouslyinto music from his Dad’s soul record collection and now he trys to make themost of the time he has on the radio and just trys to employ a community spiritand bring everybody in on it. Trying to turn people onto new music that theynever would have listened to before and it’s better than taking over the stereo atmate’s parties.
